PASSAGE Mirror

Based in Jeffersonville, United States
This dramatic and bold mirror is intended to be used either as a focal point in front of a wall or window or as a sculptural room divider. Suspended from the ceiling by metal rods, it is made of one-way mirror.  While one side offers a slight dark-hued mirror, the other side appears to be grey-tinted glass. The mirror attaches to the ceiling with a rectangular brushed-brass plate that can either be covered by plaster or exposed.
One Way Mirror:
A reciprocal mirror that appears reflective on one side and transparent at the other. The perception of one-way transmission is achieved when one side of the mirror is brightly lit and the other side is dark. This allows viewing from the darkened side but not vice versa.
For the Passage Mirror, when light shines on the front side, the front looks like a mirror. When light shines on the back side, the front looks like transparent grey glass. The back side always looks like grey glass.
