Phoam End Table - Black

Based in Montreal, Canada
A world without waste isn't a someday idea. It's a thing you can put in a room. Phoam is one of them. Its arched, honeycomb base is 3D printed from recycled PLA that we make ourselves, in our Montréal studio, from our own offcuts, failed prints, and pieces customers send back. No glue. No paint. In Onyx the piece turns quiet and monolithic: a deep, even black where the honeycomb hollows read as shadow and the layered print lines catch the light in fine horizontal ridges. A solid black-stained oak top sits above, tonal with the base rather than against it, the oak's open grain still showing through the stain, smooth and cool under the hand.
Because we print in small batches, every Phoam is individually made. Black reads more uniform than our warmer tones, so here it's the honeycomb relief and the print lines that carry the character, no two pieces catching the light in quite the same way. Nothing here is a compromise. It's a piece you'd choose anyway, made in a way that leaves nothing behind. And when it reaches the end of its life with you, it comes back to us and becomes the next thing.
