Incense Holder

Based in Pune, India
In the ritual of Dhoopa (fragrance), the act of offering scent becomes a bridge between the seen and the unseen. This holder is conceived as a dialogue of concealment and revelation, two curved brass planes resting on a grounded base. The incense stick rises in sight, a visible gesture of devotion, while the dhoop remains hidden within, its presence revealed only through the slow unfurling of fragrance. Much like faith itself, what is invisible carries the deeper essence. Through this design, Smell, one of the Pancha Upachara, is honoured, transforming space into sanctity.
