Memento Side Table, 2022

The Memento Side Table offers an optical illusion of chunky, geometric elements crafted in ceramic that appear to be caught in the middle of a balancing act.

Contained by a skeletal frame, a spherical compartment rests in the center, storing a painted pine drawer equipped with a sculptural plaster handle. Supported by four, softly-triangular feet, this union of round and straight shapes is a single puzzle piece that also makes up the monolithic, 8-drawered form of the Memento Credenza. This is the last available piece in an edition of six, and was made in Brooklyn, New York in the winter of 2021-2022.
